Welcome to Chapter 3!

In the last chapter, we introduced you to call flows. Designing the process of a call, ensuring it takes all happy and unhappy paths, might not be what you do every day but it is rather easy to imagine. Now, we will be entering a new topic.

The true strength of babelforce lies beyond creating diverse call flows. It resides in the integration of what we term "Automations," empowering you as a babelforce builder to achieve significantly more than just designing a call flow.

These Automations can run within a call flow or may be triggered by other events on the babelforce platform. This chapter will first clarify the distinctions between local and global Automations, focusing primarily on Local Automations, which operate within the call flow.

We will examine typical use cases for Local Automations and guide you through setting them up on your own.

After providing a high-level overview of all out-of-the-box Automations that are available, we will explain the restrictions of Local Automations and slowly transit to why we also need Global Automations.

This chapter addresses only pre-built Automations. babelforce also supports custom integrations with other systems. Utilizing these advanced capabilities requires a thorough understanding of our standard features, first. Our Success team is eager to assist if you seek custom integrations beyond the available features.
