Installing and configuring the babelConnect Chrome extension

With babelforce's extension for the Google Chrome browser, your agents can click on contact's phone numbers to call them, send SMS, record calls see view incoming calls. This article will show you how to get started. 

Installation

Click here to view the extension in the Chrome Web Store. Click 'Add to Chrome' and the extension will be installed automatically. That's it!

Settings

There are a few settings that can be configured. Either visit chrome://extensions or find it in Chrome's settings options in the right-hand corner:

This will bring you to the Extensions management page, where you should find your newly installed babelConnect Chrome extension. Locate it and click on Options to bring up a menu of settings. Here you can choose:

• which region you are using it in
• where the extension should appear
• whether or not immediate click-to-call is enabled

Choosing the region

If your agents work in a different region than EU, make sure to select the correct one under "Choose the region". Available are US and AU.

If you are using any of the babelforce SLA platforms, please enter the name of your dedicated region in the free field using the following format:

https://apps.[the name of your dedicated environment].babelforce.com/babelconnect2

🤓 Helpful tip: Remember to refresh the page after changing the environment to ensure that the changes take effect.

Click to call

To start calls immediately on your device when clicking on a highlighted number, make sure the "Start call immediately on click?" field is ticked.
